There is just something about listening to songs about God that make me want to sing at the top of my lungs. My soul is happy when I praise the Lord and my heart is at peace. Whenever anything is going wrong in my life or I feel out of control, one of the first things I do is listen to songs about the One True King. Worshipping my Heavenly Father brings clarity, peace, and joy back into my life.

1. Run to the Father by Cody Carnes
I am comforted every time I hear this song. And reminded that all I have to do is run to the Father for renewal. He can fix my heart and heal my soul. He wants to be my friend!

2. Waymaker by Michael W. Smith (feat. Vanessa Campagna)
This song reminds me of who God is and what He can do. He is a waymaker, a miracle worker, a promise keeper, and a light in the darkness. He is hope and goodness all of the time! (Available to listen to on Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music, and Deezer)
3. Not Finished Yet by Chris Renzema
I am continually reminded that God’s work is not done yet when I listen to this song. God is going to work until everything except beauty is gone. He is going to remove the pain in our lives and world just like a gardener removes thorns from bushes, in His own timing. When things get tough and all seems lost, we can hold onto the truth that He is not finished yet!

4. Battle Belongs by Phil Wickham
Phil Wickham is one of my favorite artists of all time! His songs are always beautiful and this one is no exception. The truth of God’s character is spoken. Every battle belongs to Him. Every fear can be laid at His feet. He is for me. And if He is for me, who could ever be against me?

5. Who Am I by NEEDTOBREATHE
This song takes away any feeling of self-doubt, loneliness, and pain, and replaces it with love and confidence. I am loved by God. I am loved through my mess, through my wounds and flaws. I am loved because I am His. God doesn’t have to love me, in fact He has no reason to. And yet, He does anyway!
